12 Magazine Covers To Prove Sonam Kapoor Is An Ever-Evolving Beauty Chameleon
Sonam Kapoor is well known for making bold fashion choices, and for being very adventurous with her style. However, what she is not given credit for, are her bold and risqué beauty looks. Now, while she brings her make-up A-game to red carpets and parties, too, we decided to talk about her best magazine cover beauty looks. After all, no one looks better than they do in magazines, so we'd rather talk about those looks, than all the times she might have got it wrong on the red carpet. Hence, we chart her best beauty looks on magazine covers through the decades, to prove that Sonam is an ever-evolving beauty chameleon!
One of Sonam's earliest magazine covers, this one was pretty dramatic. With a puffy updo signature to the late 2000s, the hair was accompanied by a sultry make-up look featuring shiny pink lips and smokey eyes with a heavily emphasised waterline, and winged eyeliner.
This glowy look which was shot on the beach, was actually perfect for the beach. Featuring dewy skin, shimmery pale lids minus eyeliner but with fat lashes, and glossy pink lips, it saw Sonam rock her long hair through a beachy, relaxed perm. Clearly, Sonam was rocking that highlighter before it became cool!
Extremely adventurous and edgy, Sonam rocked dark lips and a chiselled contour in this cover, adding a futuristic edge to things with pale skin. To top that, her puffy bun featured braids pinned into a roll looked perfect. However, for us, the highlight was the way her eyeshadow was smoked out softly, lengthening her eyes, and adding to the sleek, sexy vibe.
Harper's Bazaar 2011
With shimmery, cool-toned lids and deliciously vampy dark berry lips, Sonam looked like a gothic ice princess in this cover. Minimal eyeliner used to tightline her lash line added a bit of depth, while the white eyeliner on her lower waterline helped open up her eyes. Her lids were given dimension with mauve eyeshadow on the crease, while pale lilac eyeshadow added light to the centre of her lids. Beautiful burgundy highlights, and what is possibly the best blowout in the world, finished the look.
Marie Claire 2011
Sonam's excessively nude look for this cover SCREAMED Kim Kardashian circa 2011. With no eyeliner yet long lashes, a bit of grey shadow added some definition to her lids. A creamy, pale pink lip colour left her lips soft, much like Kim's. The brows, of course, were long, and filled-in. Sleek, middle-parted straight hair completed the look.
Describing this dramatic and edgy cover is a tough task. From the dark, and seductively vampy vibe of the glossy lipcolour, to the mock-feminine softness of the vintage and 40s-inspired bumper curls, everything was on point.
Rocking the impossibly overdramatic combination of blackish-brown smokey eyes, contoured cheeks, and glossy coral-red lips with aplomb, Sonam proved there is no beauty look she cannot pull off. Oh, and did we mention the cascading glossy locks?
Sonam set the world on fire with this sexy magazine cover and if you ask us, her fiery make-up had everything to do with it! With her hair styled into a messy, wet-look, all the attention was on her face, which was sharply contoured. A flaming orange lipstick made the look memorable, while heavy falsies, black eyeliner, and gold eyeshadow in the inner corners, gave her a feline fierceness.
Harper's Bazaar 2013
Probably the most dramatic make-up look ever seen on an actress, this wildly gothic and smoked-out eyeshadow look was the perfect inspiration for a night out. Featuring a stained lip and contoured cheeks, the look was accompanied with sleek hair and sleek, dark brows that could make Morticia Addams jealous!
Harper's Bazaar 2014
A major throwback to the 60s, this cover of Sonam's reprised Twiggy's iconic spidery-lash look. With heavy, black winged liner, fake lashes, and a carved-out crease, it gave Sonam pretty doe-eyes that we love! A frosty and pearly-pink lipstick, and voluminously wavy updo, completed this retro look.
Ruby red lips might have cemented this suave and sexy look, but Sonam's bold brows were the ultimate highlight that made it memorable. Dramatic falsies making eyeliner seem redundant, and shimmery eyeshadow brightening her inner corners, Sonam's look here was all about understated drama.
Unusual and unkempt, Sonam's golden-brown smokey eyes here was quite the departure from the usual girly smokey eyes. Edgy, slightly shimmery, and radiating heat, the smouldering look featured ombre nude lip gloss. Beachy waves were accompanied by bold, boyish brows-the signature look for 2017!
