I grew up reading and watching The Jungle Book and I didn’t think any “remake” could do it justice...but I gotta say, the movie was pretty damn awesome! The way the director & screenwriter made a visual spectacle out if is just pure genius! Brought back so many childhood memories...
It also made me think about some of my favourite Disney movies of all times!
1)Mary Poppins : The story of a nanny with magical powers who helps children and their parents unshackle their minds and imagine a world of possibilities...This classic with a cup of hot chocolate = bliss!
2) Beauty and the Beast :- The movie that taught us that beauty is skin deep & that true love sees only the person within ...I’m sure all the girls out there imagined finding their own charming beast...Right?! ;)
3) Brave :- A wildly independent lass who refuses to conform to conventional gender expectations and fights for her own hand in marriage...This movie was such a refreshing take on powerful female protagonists!
4) Frozen :- The music, the snow, the unconditional sisterly love...I loved everything about this movie! The message is so simple yet beautiful...be true to yourself, recognise your gifts and don't be afraid to shine!
5) Khoobsurat :- A comedy of errors about a quirky 'aam' girl who falls in love with an aristocratic straight-laced Prince and kickstarts a whirlwind of chaos...Ok so I'm a little biased about this one, but can you blame me?! My dream of being a Disney princess came true!
